Hongwei and I had hoped to celebrate with an event at the studio, but an email will have to do. In the meantime, we wanted to announce that I am teaching Qigong for Lung Health (free community class) on Fridays from 8:30 – 9:30AM. These exercises improve qi flow through the lung space, helping to clear infection and aid the immune system.
We are continuing to teach Tai Chi and Qigong virtually through live streaming on Zoom. Both classes are excellent ways to relax and enjoy a peaceful hour in these times of stress. Classes are friendly for beginners and seniors;you can advance your practice by moving internally. You can join us for practice at https://www.karma.yoga/taichi-and-qigong.
Hongwe iteaches Eight Brocades and Five Animals Qigong on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 – 5:30 PM. In addition, she has started teaching the Wudang style of the Eight Brocades.
I am teaching a Yang style 37 Tai Chi form on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30 –9:30 AM. We have adjusted the class for practice in a small space; you can set aside one square yard to join us from your home. We have also added a short flow exercise at the end of class, so you can feel the flow and receive more immediate health benefits, while learning the full set of 37 forms.
We welcome your feedback and suggestions. You can send me a message or reply with “feedback” in the subject line to james@karma.yoga
